This is where it really starts! As the children progress through the years they get taught different aspects of the game and different skills.

MiniRoos In a Nutshell

Weekly sessions that build skills through games and simple drills delivered in an engaging and inclusive environment. Every player gets plenty of time on the ball and the prime aim of each session is for children to build fundamental motor skills. Croydon City Arrows also participates in an Intra Club Gala Day program for the participants in the outer easter suburbs of Melbourne. Joining with Ringwood City, Mooroolbark, Boronia, Montrose and Knox soccer clubs.

Gala Days

Each club organises its participants into teams of 4-7 players in 2 age groups (U7 and U5/6).

Each team plays 2 games against teams in the same age group from the other clubs.

Each game is 2 x 15 minute halves with a short half-time break and a longer break between each game.

Football Federation Australia’s MiniRoos formats and rules apply – so a maximum of 4 players per team on the ground at any time with games played on a 20m x 30m pitch. There are no goalkeepers and rules are kept to a minimum.
