ACADEMY TEAMS

Boys and Girls (born 2013-2015) 

What are our Academy Teams? 

in 2025 we are looking for talented and committed players who are serious about their development to be part of our football Academy environment. Players will train three session per week with planned breaks over holidays.
Our licenced coaches plan and conduct sessions focusing on ball mastery, thinking games, basic situations, small-sided games, game simulation and tactical training for both individuals and teams.
Players will receive a training and match kit and play 9v9 format in Football Victoria's Sunday competitions.

2025 Program Details

2025 Summary

In 2025 we will be offering our Standard Program that we offered in 2024, and commencing a new Academy Program for 5 teams (2xU10 Boys, U10/11 Girls, U11 Boys, and U12 Boys, who will play Kangaroos/A Grade level). 

2025 Timeline ​

Register Interest: October 2024 to December 2024

Trials for U10-12 Academy Program Teams: December 2024 (invites to events will go out via Spond)

  • Oct - Dec 2024: Register Interest 

  • 4-11 Dec 2024: Trials and Team Allocations  

  • Term 1: Pre-season training and Tournaments 

  • Term 2-3: Playing season 

  • Term 4: Opt in Spring program

​Training Information 

  • Monday 6:00-7:15pm: Phase Training session with all coaches

  • Wednesday 6:00-7:15pm: Team Training session with team coach

  • Friday 6:00-7:15pm: Academy only training  

​Match Day Information 

  • Matches are played on Sundays between April and September​​ as per the FV fixtures 

  • Games will be played in in SE region. Common clubs include; Ashburton, Oakleigh, Boxhill, Bulleen

  • *ALL FAMILIES* are required (on a roster system) to assist with the smooth running of home games – pitch set up/pack away, game leader/referee, fruit

 

​Fees 

Fees include but are not limited to: Football Victoria and Football Australia (FV & FA) player and team registration, insurance, coaching expenses, training and match day equipment, players game day and training  socks, end of season trophies and celebrations, costs related to all club facilities eg. council fees and utilities.

  • Fees $900 + uniform

Registration  

In the weeks leading up to the season information will be sent out via Spond for Play Football registration with Football Victoria. This is a formal process each player must do each year. NO further fees are involved in this process.  

​Uniforms

  • Thank-you to our amazing sponsors from 2024. Retaining these Sponsors has enabled us to make the decision to continue using our 2024 uniforms in season 2025, saving time, money and the environment for returning players.
    • All players (new and returning) will receive new playing and training socks as part of their fees 
    • Returning players will be able to use their 2024 training and match day uniforms 
      • If players are in need of a new shirt or new shorts these can be purchased separately​​
    • Players new to the club can be sized up and purchase their playing and training kit online from next year ($100)

 

​Coaching 

  • Coaches of Academy Teams will be overseen by Technical Director Dave Oulton (AFC/FFA A Diploma) and Academy Phase Lead Gerry Seaye (completing AFC/FFA B Diploma in 2025)

Volunteer Requirements 

  • As with all community clubs we are are a volunteer run, not for profit club

  • All teams require a team manager to ensure their smooth running

  • ALL FAMILIES are expected to help (on a roster system) with match day duties such as pitch set up, fruit and leading games.
